Presently Saeed Hariri is working at the Department of Oceanography of Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale-OGS, based in Trieste, Italy as a PhD student of School of Doctorate Environmental and Industrial Fluid Mechanics, University of Trieste on Turbulence Modelling for Oceanic Flows applying Lagrangian Methods. His tutor in this project is Dr. Alessandro Crise, director of Oceanography Department at OGS.

Saeed received a BSc in Thermal and Fluid Mechanics from Urmia University, Iran, in 2004 and MSc in Energy Conversion from Shahrood University of Technology (SUT), Iran, in 2007. His master thesis dealt with the effect of adverse pressure gradient and curvature on turbulent flows by extending the turbulence models for curved surfaces. The results of this study have been published as conference and journal papers.
Turbulence in all its manifestations and turbulent flows in particular, especially those of the environment, are of special interest.
