Stanford speaker to discuss performance trends in Africa and elsewhere
On Friday 24 April, Les Cottrell from the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center will hold a lecture at ICTP about the state of Africa's internet infrastructure. The talk will demonstrate performance trends for the last decade, in particular illustrating the huge performance gap between the African continent and developed regions of the world. The seminar will also focus on Africa's challenges, opportunities, connectivity, comparisons with other regions, costs, and possible future developments. Friday's lecture will take place in the Seminar Room on the first floor of the ICTP Leonardo Building at 11 a.m.
