Staff scientists from ICTP's Physics of Weather and Climate Group held a public lecture in downtown Trieste on Friday evening, 26 March, as part of the activities associated with Scientific and Technological Culture Week, an annual nationwide event that has been sponsored by the Italian Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research for the past nine years. Assicurazioni Generali provided the conference room for the presentations that were attended by some 75 people. Filippo Giorgi, Oreste Reale and the group's newest member, Franco Molteni, examined the scientific and public debate surrounding the potential impact of human activities on climate change.
