NAS Elects Dirac Medallists

Linde and Zoller elected

The US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has announced the election of new members and foreign associates. Two Dirac Medallists have received this honour: Andrei Linde, Stanford University, Dirac Medallist 2002, was elected a member, and Peter Zoller, University of Innsbruck, Dirac Medallist 2006, was elected a Foreign Associate. Election to the NAS is on the basis of  "distinguished and continuing achievements in original research". Members of the NAS may be called to act as official advisers to the US government in any matter of science or technology.
