About
The ICTP Network on Renewable Energies is an online forum aimed at disseminating information, facilitating discussions and fostering collaborations in the field of research and applications in the broad area of renewable energies. In line with the mission of ICTP, its main focus is on the specific situation in developing countries where the resource base of many renewable energies is particularly large. Nevertheless, a widespread use of sustainable energies in developing countries is often hindered by issues of cost, infrastructure and access to new technological developments.
This mission is pursued through conferences, topical meetings and schools on issues related to renewable energies. A mailing list and newsletter serve as a basis for information exchange, and an online membership directory allows practitioners to find people with similar interest. The Network also hosts a free online repository of energy related documents.
Membership in the Network is free and open to anyone interested.
